On July 21st, the Parlier Unified School District Board of Trustees passed a resolution that pushed back the start of school from August 17th to August 25th (for Cohort A) and August 26th (for Cohort B). For our staff, this affords us more time for professional development, in order to prepare for a robust virtual (online) instructional program. For our students and parents, this provides more time to prepare, also, for the start of school.

The Parlier Unified School District Governing Board is asking for volunteers to sit on the Stakeholder Interview Committee for the new Superintendent. On July 17th, California Governor, Gavin Newsom, held a press conference and announced a mandate that affects Parlier Unified School District. There are 58 counties in California and the County of Fresno is one of 35 counties on the COVID-19 Watch List. Therefore, students in Parlier Unified School District must start school utilizing a distance/virtual learning model rather than coming to their classroom on the school campus. This is a directive from the Governor, the State Department of Education, the California Department of Public Health, and the Fresno County Health Department.

This week's PUSD Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. at John C. Martinez Elementary School.  You can join us online or in person!

July 16th marked the official last day of Summer School. However, students who participated in the 1st - 8th grade PUSD Summer School program may continue to login to Edgenuity and myOn through July 31st.

July 16th was the final day for summer grab and go meal distribution.

The Parlier Unified School District Governing Board, is seeking a highly qualified and fully certified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position September 1, 2020.

Effective Thursday, July 2nd, we will be serving Grab and Go Meal Services to children an hour earlier. Please note, due to this upcoming Monday being a holiday, we will pause Grab and Go Meal Services to students. They will resume on Wednesday, July 8th and go through July 16th.
